The Silver Meadows Team

Our background is Hunter/Jumper with a strong belief in building a concrete foundation with flatwork. We cater to beginner/recreational – advanced/competitive riders with a passion and commitment to riding, equitation and horsemanship.

Marli Taylor – Owner

Marli started riding at the age of eight and competing in the hunter ring when she turned eleven. She has years of riding, training and competitive show experience.

Marli has had the privilege to coach many young riders at the Provincial and National Level. Her students are dedicated, committed and talented. Marli empowers her student’s by building their confidence and self belief. She strives to give her students the tools and opportunity to achieve their personal goals.

Taylor Mulligan – Trainer

Taylor MulliganTaylor started riding at the age of 4yrs old and has never looked back. Her dedication and determination make her one of the best young riders in the area and someone you should consider for your training needs. She has had the opportunity to train with some of the best Grand Prix Riders in Canada including Jill Henselwood.

Taylor competes in the Hunters and the Jumpers at both the National and Provincial level. She has had the honor of successfully competing at such venues as  the prestigious Royal Winter Agricultural Fair, Junior Young Riders in Kentucky, HITS Ocala and beautiful Spruce Meadows.

Taylor has also had the good fortune of learning and expanding her skills by participating in many amazing clinics. Jonathon Millar, Amy Millar, Erin Ballard, Lauren Hayes, Paul Halprin, Kelly Small, Hyde Moffitt, Roberto Teran and Sandi Patterson have all shared their knowledge and expertise.

Taylor MulliganIn 2012 Taylor was Reserve Champion at the Royal Winter Fair with her Canadian Sport Horse “Taylor’s Intuition” and also traveled to Junior Young Riders in Kentucky with her jumper “Dorado of the Lowlands”.  She trained and competed with Rob Taylor’s 5 year old KWPN gelding “Social Network” and won the Canadian 5yr old Championships at Angelstone Farms.

Over the years Taylor has backed, trained and competed on many horses including her 2010/2011 hunter partner “Taylor’s Design” who was overall division Champion in the 3’9” Combined’s, Reserve Champion in the Junior Hunter’s and the winner of the Beaulieu Jump Canada Medal qualifying them for the Royal in every division they entered. They also competed on the Provincial Circuit, where they were Overall Champions in the Juniors, Childrens and “A” Equitation O/F & US.

In 2009 Taylor received sponsorship from the Canadian “Quest for Gold” program who recognized her talent and dedication.

Taylor is more than qualified to start your young horse, introduce your horse to the show ring, compete with your horse at the shows, compete on your sale horse or simply ride your horse if you can’t make it out to the barn.

Taylor MulliganTara Piepers – Stable Manager/Instructor

Tara is a graduate from the Equine Program at KemptvilleCollege. She is certified and qualified to care for all your horses needs. Tara has been a loyal Silver Meadows partner for over 12 years and has dedicated herself to her passion for horses.

As stable manager Tara is responsible for the day to day care, keeping records of all your horse’s vaccinations, farrier and worming requirements. She develops and maintains individual feed programs for each horse and is in charge of all their daily necessities. She oversees all Silver Meadows barn staff and is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
